How do I get a PDF table into Google Sheets?
Convert it here, copy the result as TSV, and paste into the sheet. Google Sheets parses tab-separated values on paste, so there is no import dialog and no intermediate file.
Can I get TSV rather than an Excel file?
Yes. TSV is available as a copy target on every table conversion, which is what makes this work with Numbers, LibreOffice, pandas and anything else that accepts a paste.
What happens to merged cells?
They are tagged during recognition with their row and column spans, so the structure is recoverable rather than flattened.
Does it work on a scanned table?
Yes. A scan goes through OCR and a born-digital page is read directly; the table handling is the same either way.
