Why a deck built from a paper usually looks wrong

Does each PDF page become one slide?
Content is laid out for slides rather than copied page for page, so the mapping is not one to one. Use a page range if you want a specific section.
Can I convert only part of the document?
Yes, with page_ranges on the API or the page range box in the web app, and you are billed for the pages you convert.
Does it open in Keynote or Google Slides?
